About Us

My accidental woodworking story starts from very humble beginnings, often referred to as boredom. My wife and I had two little kids and while life was very VERY busy - there was also a lot of down time. Like naps. That's where the YouTUBE woodworking videos binging started. I was inspired!

I quickly took over the garage and taught myself the basics from cutting boards, to bowls, to rolling pins, to pepper mills.....and I loved it all. The tools, the saw dust(my wife not so much!), actually making something with my own hands and being able to USE it. On a whim I opened an Etsy shop and slowly turned my hobby into my busniess. I also like to think it makes me extra rugged and woodsy. Fingers crossed.

Since those early days things have grown organically for me and my main inspiration is now the star of the show, the wood itself. Every piece of wood has a story to tell through it's grain, knots and texture. Being able to take that story and make it into something that will being part of your story is extremely gratifying.

Life is always better with wood and a whiskey.
